Dual License in Dubai
Earlier, the Department of Economic Development (DED) didn’t approve of obtaining more than one business license in Dubai. But now that the dual licensing has been approved by the DED. If you want to get a Dual license in Dubai then you can get the Dual License by registering your business at Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA) & Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The DIFC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DED; to allow companies operating within the DIFC to apply for Mainland License in Dubai.
The Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the DED to allow companies operating within the DAFZA to get licenses to operate in Dubai mainland.
The dual licensing system allows foreign free zone companies to broaden their business to the Dubai mainland. The dual licensing system will enable more business opportunities to the investors in Dubai.
And also, the dual business system allows the authorities to assure better governance & regulations. Under the agreement, the DED have the power to modify or add to the existing activities of the businesses.
