5.66 Million Visits

Since the opening of the Dubai Expo 2020 in October, Dubai has seen a massive influx of visitors to the region. And combined with the 50^th Golden Jubilee celebrations, the numbers have grown to nearly 5.66 million visits as early December.

Many celebrities, influential government leaders, and heads of state have graced the expo stages to speak or take part in the festivities, including such notable figures as France’s President Emmanuel Macron. Additionally, the UAE Minister for International Cooperation and the Expo’s Director-General was quoted as saying: “We are delighted with the figures, and that so many people chose to celebrate such a momentous occasion….”

During this incredible, months-long event, more than a quarter of the visitors entering the region have come from outside the UAE. This inflow of visitors also proves that a single day isn’t enough to experience the entirety of Expo 2020, with the first two months showing 1.2 million repeat visitors.

These reforms hope to allow both employers and workers to benefit from their productivity and to enable workers to continue employment after their work contracts have expired.

• Payment of wages in any currency

Another initiative that will improve the flow of business is the allowance of employers to pay their employees in any currency.

• Defining part-time, temporary, and flexible work hours

As part of this undertaking, part-time, flexible, and temporary hours are officially defined.
