Dubai SME grants complete ownership to small and medium entrepreneurs who can gain Dubai SME’s business incubator license. Previously, foreigners could only avail 49% business ownership in Dubai mainland and 100% foreign ownership in free zones.
Good news is here, innovative and novel small and medium entrepreneurs and students alike will be able to gain complete, 100% ownership. The authorities will also check the feasibility and execution of the idea. If you are a small or medium business startup with a novel and innovative idea; then you can apply for a Dubai SME’s business incubator license.
Information & Communication Technology (ICT) and e-Commerce/m-Commerce are important sectors with start-ups in the country. Therefore, it is expected that this initiative by Dubai SME’s will benefit these sectors the most. However, only a novel business idea is not sufficient to gain the license.
