Tax Residency Certificate
A Tax Residency Certificate in UAE is also called as Tax Domicile Certificate is one of the official documents issued by the Ministry of Finance. In order to avoid the double taxation, UAE has signed the treaties with over 76 Countries in the World. The Tax Domicile Certificate is permits eligible government entities, companies and also an individuals to take benefits of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA).
Validity of Tax Domicile Certificate in UAE
The Tax Residence Certificate is valid for one year from the date of its issued.
Who is Eligible for receiving Tax Residency Certificate in UAE?
- Free zone Company
- Mainland Company
- Individual investor/business owner
- Employed individual
Note:ย To apply for the Tax Residency Certificate, the company must be minimum three years existence in UAE. An individual person is resident in UAE for minimum 180 days is eligible to receive the tax residency certificate.
Who is not Eligible for receiving Tax Domicile Certificate in UAE?
- Offshore company
- Branch of a foreign company
- A non-employed individual (with a spouse visa)
Note: Offshore companies can get theย Tax Exemptions Certificateย rather than Tax Residence Certificate and also it only permits the companies to tax exempt in UAE.
Following are theย requiredย documents for receivingย Tax Residency Certificate in UAE
Following are the required documents for Companies:
- A copy of the trade license
- A copy of partnerโs attachment
- Establishment contract (if it is not a sole company)
- Request letter from the company.
- Passport copy of shareholder’s and also the manager ,
- Shareholder’s and also the manager visa page,
- Shareholder’s and manager EID copy
- Audited financial statements/Audit report
- 6 months bank statements
- Tenancy contact copy
- Tax forms from the country in which the certificate is to be submitted (if any).
Following are the required documents for individuals:
- Passport copy,
- Copy of Visa page and also the Emirates ID
- Source of income/Salary certificate
- 6 months bank statements
- Tax forms from the country in which the certificate is to be submitted (if any).
- Tenancy contact and also theย Immigration report.
